At present, most of the living fish transportation boats were converted by old fishing boats; only very few of them were newly designed and constructed for living fish transportation. However, there still are rooms of improvement for living fish transportation boats whenever the safety and economy benefit of these boats are considered. In the present investigation, the ship speed, the stability of the ship, the design of cargo carrying area, seawater circulation system, oxygen circulation system and low temperature control system of the living fish transportation boats are redesigned. It is believed that with the above improvements the income of the fishermen will be increased. |
